Today we put the finishing touches to the presentation for our pitch and began writing a draft for our script. We took into account comments and critcisims given on our first practice pitch and made changes accordingly. For example we changed our powerpoint so that each slide had less writing on it so that our pitch would not be focused around each slide - rather focused around what we have to say. We also included a new part of the pitch talking about our target audidence and how we will fit our film around our target audience's expectations.
We have now written a script to use in conjunction with the powerpoint. Each member of our team has a copy of the script and will learn their lines so that when the pitch time comes we will not just be reading from sheets.

We have also added to our blog today, writing about what we have changed to our pitch so that it will get the marks we need.

blog entry three

Now we have our main idea, we are focusing on the minor details such as crops, actors, location and time of filming.
We have decided to keep teh acting within our group. This will increase the reliability and shorten the time being wasted finding actors and making sure the filming fits within their schedule. We will film the main scene in the common room and use the stairs as the shot of the main actors feet, when walking to the common room. We will most likely film this when people are in their lessons, to decrease my amount of interruptions that will occure.
For our props, We will need letters with a grade on them (when filming the students opening their letters in the common room) sunglasses that will cover the main actors face, when she takes it off she will have a black eye ( we are still thinking about adding that) They will be shocked that this unknown character has shown up, including the teachers. This will add the enigma and add our USP, by the reaction shots of the students in the common room.

blog entry two

For our second idea we have decided to follow the same principal as the first one but will concentrate on showing different social groups in a british school rather than the enigma, however there will still be a strong and interesting enigma when a mystery person appears at the end witha black eye.
we have written up this final idea and are currently in the prosess of making the storyboard.

Blog entry one

We have already decided on useing the teen genre but had first decided to use an idea that included someone dressed in a gorilla costume, we made a pitch for it but then decided that the idea would be too difficult and unconventional. The main character would be played by someone in our group, as it would be more reliable and less difficult to hunt down the actors. Also, to film the openning scene in college, so everyone will be able to reach there and facilitys will be easier to reach.
Our second idea has a different narrative, but has followed the location of the filming and acting within the group.
